Terms

A scheduling tool. That is the deal.

Use it to book a time. It is not a clinic and not a chart. It does not bill insurance or copays.

What you get

Providers get a public booking link, a weekly hour cap, and a way to send overflow to colleagues they trust. Clients get a time on a calendar and a confirmation page they can save.

Missed first visits

A therapist can turn on an optional fee for a missed first visit or intake. When it is on, the booking page shows the amount and the cancellation window before you book. You save a card through Stripe. You are not charged today.

If you miss that visit, or you cancel inside the window you were shown, the therapist can charge the saved card that amount once. The money is paid to the therapist. Stripe emails you a receipt. You are not charged unless that notice was on the page and you agreed.

Card numbers stay with Stripe. We do not store them. We do not bill insurance or copays, and we do not charge for the visit itself.

Referral fee

When a client’s first booking with a therapist comes from a colleague’s referral, that receiving therapist pays a referral fee. The default is $20: $5 to the colleague who referred them, and $15 to ScheduleAVisit. The invite page and the dashboard show the amount. A client who books that therapist’s own page does not create this fee. The client is not charged it. It is scheduling money between practices, taken from the receiving therapist’s Stripe balance when Stripe is connected. It is not a copay and not insurance.

What this is not

  • Not a substitute for clinical judgment
  • Not a place for clinical notes
  • Not a HIPAA-covered service, and we do not have a BAA
  • Not insurance or copay billing

Your side

Providers are responsible for the hours they set, the people they invite, and what they tell clients. Clients are responsible for showing up, or reaching the office if they need to change a time. We store name, email, phone if given, the visit time, and which counselor — see Privacy.

Where it runs

The site is hosted on Render. If Render is down, booking is down. Confirmation links use a private token so a stranger cannot walk integer IDs and read someone else’s visit.
